April Quilt Group 2016

Chinese Proverb: "Do not fear going forward slowly fear only to stand still".
Jan for sure did not stand still Thursday night.  It was a Fabulous Evening. Chinese Style!

Jan has traveled to
China and loved everything about it.

We experienced a taste of China.

Even down to the Placemats

Luan started off our Show and Tell
A cute little Eye Spy for a grandchild.

Two of each block for a matching Game.

Clever back with more interest.

We couldn't wait to see Luan's Halloween Quilt fresh from the Quilter.

It is awesome!

Great Job Luan

Can't forget the back...

Jeanene always has something fun to show.

Jeanene has been making these perfect size burp cloths.

Some made with flannel, some with Hankies, some with Minky.

I (Glenna) have been doing some sewing but the only thing I have to show is my Lori Holt "Bloom Quilt" Just Two more rows.

Debbie is a busy Grandmother.
Four new Baby Grandsons are due I the next two months.

She has made 2 cute blankets for each Baby
All in bright colors.

Debbie makes a quilt for each of those Grandkids also.

Pinwheels and Prairie Points

Back Art

Peg has been trying to finish some projects that have been around awhile.
We call them UFO's

Peg also had a very special Presentation to make.
Peg had 12 Quilt Blocks made from Oriental fabric

Peg presented all 12 blocks (and fabric to finish the quilt) to Jan with a message...
"This is your Rucky"Day!
Jan was excited to get it and Peg was excited for it to have  a new home.

So So Fun!!!

Two of our favorite Quilt friends.

Jan warps her fabric around these Comic Book Boards.
Great was to Organize.

Jan bought this quilt for $5.99
It has a sweet label on the back with the name of the Grandmother that made it.

We wish we knew the story about this quilt.

Jan's fist Applique Quilt
It's awesome!

Quilt top Jan made with her Grandson.
He picked the fabric and did some of the sewing.

Great Tradition Jan.

Somehow I missed this! I've been sewing my fingers to the bone the last few months, but not on quilts. I've made 2 large pavilions out of canvas and a Viking tent for our SCA events. Would love to start or finish a quilt or 2, but I've got to take a break from sewing for awhile, my arms are tired. It looks like you had a wonderful April group and Jan really went all out. I enjoyed seeing her pics from China on FB. Miss you gals. Haven't found a quilt group here yet, but I have an art group that meets monthly, so that's good.
