Gradient Checkerboard Mystery Quilt

Hi All! Hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving holiday. I, of course, sewed my fingers to the bone on Sunday working on the mystery quilt at Planet Patchwork. Here is the finished top. The pic came out more blue than purple, but it is actually purple, green, beige and cream. I'll bring it to our meeting in January so you can see the acutal colors. Have a great week! Rachelle

Planet Patchwork has a new Mystery coming!

Hey, this is really cool! Thanks Jan for getting us started. And thanks Glenna for posting my pink dresses and the spider web quilt. Love the way your 30's retro fabric quilt turned out. BTW Pink Dresses is getting a double border so I'll post a new pic when I get those on.

Just got an email from Planet Patchwork that they are hosting a new Mystery Quilt on Sunday, November 25. So if anyone is looking to do a mystery go to www.planetpatchwork.com/Mystery125/default.htm
and you'll find the fabric and cutting instructions. They are really fun so if you haven't tried one before, just grab from that stash and go for it.

Looking forward to seeing all our creations on our very own blog!
Happy Quilting!

Glenna's Challenge Quilt

I finally finished my quilt top. If you look close you can find your name in each of the challenge blocks.
Jan this blog is so great! Thanks for setting this up.
I think we will have a lot of fun keeping in touch on this blog.
Let's see lots more stuff!

Rachelle did it again

Rachelle finished her black and pink. It is so cute.
Only Rachelle could do this Krazy Halloween quilt. It was from SQ on TV.

Scraps R Us

I feel pretty good that I was able to figure out how to set up a blog, when my daughter-in-law, or niece comes by I'll have them help me customize it. If any of you have ideas for for our blog let me know. As we thought In Stitches was taken. I like Scraps R Us, I think it's fitting. By the way the first post you see will be the last one written, so if you want to read them in order start from the bottom and move up. (Does that make sense?? it's late..) So Scrappers welcome to the blog and be sure to add it to your favorites list.

South Dakota Quilt

In September I went to South Dakota with my parents and my brother (JoAn was invited but couldn't make it) I picked this quilt up at an antique store. I love it! It was a great trip.

Welcome to our Quilting Blog!!!

Hello everyone!! So here is the first post on our brand new cool blog. Cool because we are going to make it so by posting pictures of our wonderful quilts, ideas, recipes, jokes, etc., etc. (Warning blogging can be addicting)
Thanks JoAn for hosting a wonderful quilt group Thursday night. Your new home is beautiful, everyone's show and tell quilts were great, and the apple crisp was yummy! We missed Ruth and Peggy! Vicki took pictures, so hopefully she will post them on our new blog.
I spent the day Friday helping finish quilts for our neighborhood Quilts for California project. I think they made 60 tied quilts, and 20 or so fleece ones, quite an effort. Our R.S. pres. received an e-mail from a woman taking quilts to Californians hit by fire. She sent word out to our whole neighborhood, lots of fun.
I hope to see everyone join the blog meanwhile, Happy Quilting!!
