February Quilt Group 2015

We has another great night with our Quilting friends.
Jeanene was our Host for the evening so we will start with her Fabulous
Red and White
(Two Color Churn Dash Quilt)

Love this!!!
A close-up of the back so you can see the wonderful quilting by Kit.
I (Glenna) finished this quilt for
granddaughter baby
 Indy
I  did my own quilting.
I used the basting method below and quilted it with a walking foot.
It went over the Minky "Like Butter"
Added Name and Birth Date.

I finished this scrappy project started years ago

It is so scrappy that I was not sure I would have enough binding.
I found just enough
Donna did a little demo on how to join your binding.

Luann  finished a new Chevron Quilt for grandson.
She used the method some of us have used for basting.
Basting your Quilt with 2 boards
Love the Blue and White
Perfect for a Boy!

We have seen Hedy's First Lady Quilt quilt before in the early stages.
It is finished and Unbelievable.

Each block represents a different First Lady.

Hedy is always so good to Label her quilts.
This is a good look at the Label and the wonderful backing she used for this quilt.

We had a Two Color Quilt Challenge
a while back.
Jan is showing the progress she has made on her Yellow and White Irish Chain.
Those are 1 inch blocks!
Its going to be awesome.

Another project of Jan's is her
ABC Embroidery Quilt
It is Unbeliveable!

Jan is such a perfectionist and is challenged by the sizes of the blocks
She will make it perfect.

We were all thrilled to finally see JoAn's Basket Quilt.
This was at the Quilter for some time.

The quilt if Fabulous....

The quilting is also Fabulous.
Love this Quilt.

OK, our over achiever Donna blew us away with this Feather?  Braid?
What are we calling this awesome quilt?

This is a  Huge Quilt
 100+ x 100+

Donna was trying to tell us how she made this but we all need a demo next month.

Mary Ann is working on a quilt for the Bedroom she is remodeling.
Love the colors of this Dresden  Block.
It even matches her shirt!

Cute Red and Black for Granddaughter
Mary Ann always puts colors together so great.

This back is the best!

We always love to see what Kathee is remodeling.
This was a dress that needed some more length.
Not a great picture but the dress looks great.

She added the brown lace on the bottom.
  Great Idea!

Kathee has also been using her new sewing machine making some new quilts.

So Colorful

Hand pieced blocks from Grandmother
makes and wonderful Blue and White Quilt

Jeanene's Sister Doris has been asked to do a demo at the Gilbert Quilt Show March 28th
She will be teaching the Five-Minute Quilt Block

She gave us a little demo and it has so many possibilities.

Gilbert Historical Museum Quilt Show
Jeanene's other Sister Susan had a picture of the pillows she made for
Grandchildren for Christmas

What a great Idea!
I may have to try this one.

Peg is in the middle of school and big wedding plans for son Rob.
She does find time to sew on a quilt requested
by  the bride and groom.

It is a new method made with a curved template.
It's going to be Awesome!

Another picture of Jeanene's Fabulous Red and White Quilt.
Thanks for another great evening together.
