September Quilt Group

Legacy: The Story of Talula Gilbert Bottoms and Her Quilts (Needlework & Quilting)
We had a smaller group this month and we missed those that couldn't come.
We did have a nice discussion and visit.
JoAn was our host and she started by showing  a video.  A Grandsaughter told the story of her Grandmother
and the wonderful quilts she made for her family.
JoAn has been doing some sewing and we all Loved this
Holiday Quilt.
Glenna finally finished the 1st block of a sisters project. "Quilts With a Spin". Only 8 more to go!
Glenna also brought fabric for a new
Bed Spread with these great fabrics
I had to show these "Pencil Sleeping Bags"  I made for Grand Daughter's kindergarten class.
The teacher said  they were losing pencils and they will tape these to the desk. At the end of the day they will put their pencils to bed and let them sleep.
They will always know where to find a pencil.
Jan Showing the table runner she made with the "quilt as you go" technique.
Jan's "I spy" quilt for a lucky grandchild.
Peg's gave a report on her month long Job in St George.
She is making this quilt as a Thank You for her sister-in-law.She let her stay with her for the month
and was a lot of help during the project.
Jeanene brought this to show.
Her granddaughter left this note for Jeanene to mend
 her
underwear.
So Cute.

Very nice evening and JoAn served a very healthy and delicious
Peach Pie.
Recipe coming soon!

so sorry I missed you all. It's pouring buckets in Oregon, but we've had awesome luck at crabbing and are completely stuffed after 15 crabs this week end. And we had lots of family visiting to share it with. See you all in October.
