The Most Amazing Thing

Jan, Thanks so much for the apple dip recipe, I made it and everyone love it. I was sorry I missed you guys in May and June. I heard from Vicki that you had fun with red=) Here is what I have been up to:

Here is the finished (notice the binding that was finished on the way to Show Low) quilt from our exchange last summer=)
The machine quilting is by Kit.

I also finished this felted wool project, after I don't know how many years.

The most amazing thing happened: I went to pick up the quilt from Kit that she had machine quilted for me, you know, the one we did last year with the challenge fabric. Anyway, she gave me 12 perfectly stitched blocks and some extra fabric and said, 'Make this for your sisters group home. Bring back the top when you are finished and I will quilt it.' Isn't that amazing? The next amazing thing is that I didn't have an idea in my head, well I had one and it was BORING. I looked at the QR and found nothing, but Trish said, 'Wouldn't it be great to find a black that would work?' So, at Zoe's Mary helped me put together this amazing little quilt top that I don't want to give away=) But, I will.

This is another amazing project... Peg and Sally, or was it Glenna, won (earned) these blocks from the Zoe's challenge. It was a challenge because most of the blocks were not 12.5 inches square, so I clut them to 12.25" and made it big enough for a queen sized bed. This quilt also goes to the Lura Turner Homes in Phoenix.
