October Quilt Group 2012

Great Meeting tonight!
Thanks to Mary Ann O.
Tonight it was all about Halloween!

Mary Ann had us all bring: one fat quarter of orange fabric and one of brown.
We made a fun pumpkin project.

Everyone finished at least one block and now we are ready to applique.

Everyone working and visiting.

Mary Ann had the pattern and supplies.

Busy working

I (Glenna) had nothing to show this month so I brought a quilt I made  (eight) years ago.
Made for daughter when she started teaching school.

September Quilt Group 2012

Donna was our host for our
September Quilt Group
She is adding to her Christmas stockings for new family members.
We had to take a picture of all.

Each are hand stitched using felted wool.

With Name and Date...

...each is customized with for the person.

Donna is finishing  a stocking for
Cupcake lover Lydia

Peg is getting close with her
"Patriotic Pinwheels" .....

...and the back for that "Waffle " quilt.

Hedy finished her Pinwheel quilt.
She found the perfect backing.

I needed to take a picture of the label.
(send me a picture and I will add it)
Hedy really finishes her quilts lovely.

In Mary Ann's "spare" time she whipped up this wonderful quilt.

She said it was so fun she and her sister made another for Sister Barbara.

Getting us all into the Christmas Spirit,
This is so great.

Another Christmas Quilt from Mary Ann.

I (Glenna) brought this quilt that my Aunt Gladys made years ago.
I am trying to finish it for her.

Aunt Gladys did the hand quilting.
It needs a little more quilting and binding.

I couldn't stand it I had to try
Lori's Great Granny Squares.
This is made form one "Ruby"charm pack and a couple of fat quarters.

These blocks are so addicting.
Now to find some borders.

Debbie has a wedding coming up for her daughter.
She finished the traditional
Denim Quilt.
I love the way she put the Big "H" in the quilt...

... and the label on the pocket.
Love it!

We finished a fun evening with  some tasty snacks served up so pretty.
Donna you are the perfect host and your home is awesome.
We Skyped with Rachelle and were able to catch up on what she is  doing in Oregon.
She will be home next month.
We missed some of our ladies that were not able to come this month.
