April Quilt Group 2013

Hedy hosted our Quilt Group this month.
We were missing some of our favorite people but we did have a wonderful evening.
Thanks Hedy.
 We started out showing off our
 "Garden Challenge Quilt"
they just deep getting more exciting.

Mary Ann borrowed  her friends quilt to show our group.
It is so fun to see the colors and fabrics others pick for the same pattern

We know others are working on this quilt and we are anxious  to see your blocks.



We are working on the quilt Mary Ann has already made. So she is making blocks for a smaller version.
These are her blocks.

Rachelle spent the weekend at a Quilt Retreat and came back with many finished projects.
Rachelle quilted this quilt.
It was a New Years Day Mystery Quilt.


She made this cute Coffee Mug Organizer
A great gift idea.

Another retreat Project made from Jelly Roll strips, a good time saver.


Rachelle crocheted a  covered this tape measure.  
She saw this at a quilt show and made her own pattern.
She is amazing.
We sill miss Rachelle for a few months.  She and her Husband spend the Summer on the West Coast.

Donna is working on a quilt for a Grandson and got the rocket blocks finished and decided to take it another direction.

We finished a delightful evening with Hedy serving us her
  Homemade Carrot Cake & Homemade Ice Cream,
 Fruit and Yogurt.

March Quilt Group 2013We have all been waiting for

Jeanene was our host for March.
 We had a wonderful evening.
We were a smaller group but we always enjoy getting together.


We have all been waiting to see Jeanene's "Farmers Wife".

This is what we do...
Show our quilts and then everyone Oohs and Aahs.
That is why we love Quilt Group

Then we unveiled  our 2013 Challenage
It was so fun  to see how they are coming together.
We loved them all....

Some are Needle turn applique and some machine.
All fabulous.

We had to have Mary Ann bring her quilt that was the inspiration  for this project.

Lot's of work ahead but we are excited.

Glenna's Hannawalt Cousins Quilt finished
4 cousins made 12 blocks and exchanged and then finished any way they wanted.

JoAn's  "Completely Dotty"
JoAn started this a while back and it has become top priority.
Didn't it turn out Great!

Kathee also show some quilts she bought from a "Little Lady" at a year sale.

Rachelle always bring something interesting.
A Halloween House she has decorated with cards and all kinds of little embellishments.
Rachelle can describe it much better.

Debbie bought some kits at the Quilt Show and learned how to make these "Self Binding Blankets"

Mint Brownies and Fruit
and an Easter "Prize"
